Originally from Steamboat Springs, Colorado, I’ve had an unwavering love for everything IT since I was young. My parents would pass down their old or broken electronics, which I would eagerly tear into and investigate. Whether it was an old remote or a hair dryer, I had buckets full of parts I would use to attempt to either fix or create my own unique inventions.

In my twenties, I dabbled in the booze and sales industry, but I always knew IT was my true calling. In my thirties, I took a leap of faith and entered the world I was destined for. I started a Help Desk position at Denver Health Hospital, where my passion and knowledge in the field quickly grew. I thoroughly enjoyed diving into the depths of the hospital to repair, patch, and inspect technical issues. Within 13 months, I was promoted to a Tier II position. The organization supported my continuing education, reimbursing me for my Network+ certification and providing access to Pluralsight, where I pursued my next certification goals.

Fast forward to today, my skills have propelled me to an Infrastructure SecOps Engineer position. Here, I’m learning and executing more than ever before. From creating users in Active Directory and building Group Policy Objects, to re-configuring the entire network with VLAN segmentation and monitoring with tools such as Lansweeper and PRTG, I’m always seeking ways to automate processes and push my limits. My thirst for knowledge is endless, and I’m excited to continue my IT journey!
